Link

The link is the basic unit of navigation. It declares an href and decides whether the destination is external so it can open a new tab, add rel and show a decorative icon.

Install

Install koten-theme first when the project has no Koten tokens yet.

Accessibility

• The link is recognized by underline and color; never by color alone.
• The text describes the destination; avoid labels such as “click here”.
• External links open in a new tab with rel="noreferrer" and add an aria-hidden icon.
• Visible focus uses a 2 px outline with a 1 px offset on the focus token.
